SLC is the department of language communication. The basic purpose of this department is to study foreign languages as well as cultures which allow you to improve communication skills useful in many societies. The students improve their English communication skills by studying four skills, speaking, Listening, Reading, and, Writing. Most of the professors of SLC are from native English countries, and they are willing to help us friendly all the time.
Not only studying these English skills, but also studying specialized subject like American literature in English from foreign teachers. Furthermore, the students have many opportunities to study English out of classes. There is good environment to study.
The LEAP corner, you can bollow English books to support reading skills.
English Lounge, which is open even during summer and spring breaks, are also available to support the students’ speaking study at building 2.
At building 1 floor 3, Language laboratory is opened to the students, who want to study with multimedia
study method.
SLC students have may chance to study abroad, teachers encourages students to study in the foreign universities. TIUA is the major project to study abroad, and also you can communicate with foreign student at TIU. Many JSP students visit TIU to study japanese culture twice a year. The students can talk to Jsp students at student lounge.
I like Lounge the best, so I can communicate with foreign students and tackle with many assingment together. I love SLC.

Hi Tomoya,
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog.
In your first paragraph, you mention that: "Most of the professors of SLC are from native English countries." Although their are many SLC faculty who are native English speakers, I don't think 'most' are native. Therefore, you either want to find out exactly how many native English speakers there are, or change 'most' to 'many'.
Also, can you find the problem with 'bollow'?
Finally, great job so far, your pictures really help give the reader a better idea of how students can study.
Nice work.
George
